Messaggio di "shut down unexpectedly" ad ogni logon in Windows server 2019.

Dopo un aggiornamento dei sistemi si presenta uno strano problema in server Windows 2019: ogni volta che si esegue il logon al sistema viene presentata la pagina dove inserire il motivo di un shutdown inaspettato.

Anche se si risponde alla domanda, al successivo logon si presenta ancora la pop-up con la richiesta:

Sembra sia un problema legato ad autorizzazioni utente a scrivere una key nel registry di sistema.

Quando accade uno shutdown inaspettato viene portato a valore 1 la chiave di registro:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Reliability\DirtyShutdown

qui ho trovato info utili: Shutdown event tracker keeps appearing after installing KB4490481 and an unexpected shutdown 

Sembra che l'aggiornamento KB4490481 abbia modificato i diritti di accesso alla key limitandolo all'amministratore locale del sistema.

This seems to be an issue specific to Windows Server 2019 with the registry permissions for the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Reliability key.

After examining the permissions for that registry key on both Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019, I see that Server 2016 gives full control to our DomainName\Administrators group, whereas Server 2019 only gives full control to that server's LocalServerName\Administrators group.

This explains why only the local Administrator account on Server 2019 has the ability to set the DirtyShutdown value to 0.

The message disappears if you logon to the server with the predefined local Administrator account (SID 500) and answer the message.

Una soluzione è eseguire il logon con l'amministratore locale (oppure di dominio in caso di Domain Controller) e rispondere alla domanda, al successivo accesso la pop-up non compare.

Un altro metodo è modificare manualmente la chiave di registro portandola al valore 0
